Our power supply for this build is actually one we’re going to be using for our case review-testing going forward: The Corsair HX750i 80+ Platinum. This fully modular PSU features a zero-noise fan curve, alongside a stonkingly good efficiency and full modularity. We’ve also coupled it with a set of Corsair’s Pro series black sleeved cables to give everything a bit more of a premium feel.

Under load we’re expecting this system to pull anywhere between 500-600W from the wall, so hitting that 75 percent load on the power supply should give us close to perfect overall efficiency, both in terms of heat and wasted energy.
