Corsair iCUE 465X Mid Tower

-

$249

When it came to the case we knew we wanted to take a look at Corsair’s latest iCUE 465X RGB, but it comes with a slight hiccough. All in all it’s a fantastic chassis for the build, especially with a few tweaks to the intake airflow (although more on that later), but the big problem we have is the price, combined with those front fans. Because we’re using the EK-AIO for our build, we’ll need to install the 360mm radiator in the front. That works out fine, but the iCUE 465X’s party piece is the three included LL120 RGB fans, hooked up to an internal RGB controller.

In our system we ended up removing these and not using them. However, this was more of an aesthetic decision than an outright logical thermal one. The thing with that is we’re then spending cash on three fans we’re not actually going to use, and sadly Corsair doesn’t offer a variant of the 465X sans colourful fans, which is annoying.
