Ryzen’s infinity fabric interconnect (the stuff that connects the core complexes in the die) runs at the same speed as the memory. Ryzen 3rd gen typically disconnects after 3600MHz, but as our Ryzen 5 3400G is running on the old 2nd-gen architecture, it’s not quite as quick, and only sees benefits up to 3200MHz. For our Intel solution, you’ll have to opt for slower memory, as the Asrock B365M-HDV is only rated to support up to 2666 MHz.
