OpenStreetMap error creates 212 story tower in Flight Sim 2020
A typo in the OpenStreetMap data made by a university student working on a project was picked up by Microsoft’s latest Flight Simulator 2020 game and modeled into a ridiculous looking cityscape. The Fawkner building was allocated 212 stories instead of 2, and while the mistake has since been corrected the devs used the OpenStreetMap info to build the game’s terrestrial information before it was rectified. This ridiculously out of place building has become one of the most visited wonders of Flight Simulator alongside controversial locations like Jeffrey Epstein’s private island.
