Researching with Google

Start researching through Google Docs

In a Google Document, highlight a piece of text you’d like to get more information on. Right-click and click ‘Explore Highlighted text’. This will open a research pop-up window within Google Docs.

Depending on the content of the text you selected, you’ll get varying results. At the top of the pop-up will be a summary of the wording as best compiled by Google, followed by web results.

Use the tabs at the top of the ‘Explore’ column to access web info, pictures and any related content from your Google Drive. It’s a handy way to access key information quickly to help with any project.
