Emeritus Professor Ian Chubb AC FAA FTSE FACE FRSN was Chief Scientist for Australia (2011-2016). Prior to that, he was ViceChancellor of the Australian National University (2001- 2011); and Vice-chancellor of Flinders University of South Australia for six years. He has been Chair of the Commonwealth’s Higher Education Council and Deputy Chair of the National Board of Em-ployment, Education and Training. He has six honorary doctorates from Australian universities. He was awarded an AO in 1999 and an AC in 2006.
