2021 Gold Medallist: Donald Watson

It is fitting that the 2021 Gold Medal should be awarded to someone who has spent so much of his prolific career supporting the work of others – unsung architects from Queensland’s history, others whose valuable buildings have faced demolition and, of course, his many students, who speak of Don Watson with unreserved admiration, gratitude and affection.
