Art Almanac - - Melbourne -

Presenting the work of realist artist Brett Jarrett, the Bay of Whales Gallery is an exceptional venue in its setting and world-class artwork. With commanding views of the Southwest coast, the Gallery showcases some of the finest natural history paintings in Australia. Brett’s works are based on nearly three decades of extensive field work dedicated to pursuing animals from the many remote regions of the world, creating a physical and emotional window into his world of art and nature. He is the 2017 winner of the Holmes Art Prize for excellence in bird art; exhibited with the prestigious Society of Animal Artists in the U.S.A. on its national tour and produced several groundbreaking books on marine mammals.
