New work by 41 Indige­nous and nonIndige­nous artists from art cen­tres of the APY Lands and across Aus­tralia ex­am­ine com­plex and var­ied re­sponses to weaponry and war­fare, and the con­nec­tion to pro­tect­ing land and coun­try; fos­ter­ing di­a­logue around multi­geo­graph­i­cal and multi-gen­er­a­tional bat­tles. ‘Weapons for the sol­dier’, the first Anan­gu­cu­rated ex­hi­bi­tion in­volv­ing non-Indige­nous artists in­cludes Ray Ken, Vin­cent Na­matjira, and Mumu Mike Wil­liams along­side Ab­dul Ab­dul­lah, Tony Al­bert, Brook An­drew, Richard Lewer, Jonathan Jones, Danie Mel­lor and Alex Se­ton among oth­ers.
