Who is Jane Goodall?

Born in 1934, Dame Jane Goodall is a Bri­tish pri­ma­tol­o­gist and UN Mes­sen­ger of Peace, best known for her life-long study of chim­panzees in Gombe Stream Na­tional Park in Tan­za­nia in the early 60s. In 1977 she es­tab­lished the Jane Goodall In­sti­tute, work­ing ex­ten­sively on con­ser­va­tion and an­i­mal wel­fare is­sues.
