All three major carriers, Starhub, Singtel and M1, offer tourist SIM cards that are valid for 7 to 12 days. Circles. Life, My Republic and Zero Mobile do not provide prepaid SIM cards but offer non-contract mobile service packages that are great value for visitors who intend to stay beyond a week in Singapore. There is also the option to customise plans by buying data and talk time in units.

Cost
The 7-day tourist SIM cards cost SGD12 or SGD15 (USD8.9 or USD11.1) and all three carriers offer similar packages (100GB local data, 500 minutes of international call time and 100 SMS among others) The 12-day tourist SIM cards cost around SGD30 (USD22) and offer 3GB of data and 3,000 minutes of local call time. Circles. Life offers a onemonth no-contract plan that is a highly economical option for those who need a lot of data; it comes with 20GB of data, 100 minutes of talktime and 25 free SMS messages for SGD18 (USD13.3).
Purchase
SIM cards can be purchased at Changi Airport, carrier shops, 7-Eleven stores, petrol stations, post offices and grocery stores. Passports are required for purchase.
Topping up
Top-ups can be done at carrier stores, 7-Eleven and Cheers convenience stores, authorised dealers, ATMs, SAM stations, AXS stations and Singpost branches. Some retailers also enable online top-ups via websites and apps.
