GETTING THERE

-

WHEN

The capital of the southern state of Kerala sits along the Arabian Sea. As a result, it does not experience distinct seasons. The city also gets rain from the receding north-east monsoons which hit the city by October. The dry season sets in by December so it’s probably best to visit after December if you want to avoid the rain.

HOW Thiruvananthapuram is served by the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport, located at Chakai, 6.7 kilometres (4.2 mi) from the city centre. Thiruvananthapuram has a well-developed road transport infrastructure. Both governmentoperated and privately operated bus services are available .
