Future Forward, Voice of the Ocean, and the Tham Luang Cave Rescue Team.

For the first time this year, ADEX presented a series of Future Forward discussions with panels comprising industry professionals and inspirational divers from all over the world. Taking place at different zones of the event venue, each session focused on topics such as “the single-use plastic conundrum”, “sustainable marine tourism”, “inspirational ADEX heroes” and “underwater photo/video”. The Sustainable Diving Dialogue, moderated by Natalie Harms from UN Environment, offered the audience valuable insights like how customers would eventually be forced to buy only sustainable diving products once most manufacturers moved in concert to

produce them. One of the highlights of ADEX 2019 was the dialogue with the Tham Luang Cave Rescue team. The two-part session gave the large audience a great opportunity to hear from and interact with team members Ben Reymenants, Mikko Paasi, Claus

Rasmussen, Tan Xiao Long, Erik Brown, Douglas Yeo, and others. Live judging for ADEX’s flagship photo/ video competition, Voice of the Ocean, took place on the final evening, with winners of seven categories announced at the end of the night.
