Despite the company initially having to personally sell stocks to individual provision shops, Songhe – their flagship brand of rice – gradually gained a wide acceptance in the market thanks to its exceptional quality and the company’s unfaltering operations team. With the increase in demand, Tong Seng Produce Pte Ltd expanded their rice sources from Thailand to Vietnam, Cambodia, Japan, Korea, USA, Pakistan, and India in order to offer consumers more variety. They also opened the first and only chilled warehouse in Singapore, which replaced the traditional method of chemical fumigation to counter the growth of rice weevils, reinforcing their mantra: Good Man, Good Deeds, Good Rice. In recent years, their product offerings have expanded to include sugar, wheat flour, and cooking oil.
