Cabbages & Condoms

-

A sociosexual-inspired restaurant

In part to promote a better understanding and acceptance of family planning, Cabbages & Condom Restaurant was established to support activities of the Population and Community Development Association (PDA) in Thailand. And the restaurant’s name, you ask? Well, the founder believes that birth control should be as accessible and as easy to buy as vegetables at the market. As you might expect, the restaurant uses jokes and fun visuals in its efforts to raise awareness about issues such as safe sex, family planning, and HIV/AIDS. Its interior is wonderfully decorated with colourful art pieces and intricately-made statues – made from condoms. And to round off this fascinating dining experience? Naturally, after settling their bill, diners receive free condoms!
