The monkey business

Has curiosity struck you like Curious George? Or have your feet been itching for a food adventure with Boots? Then look no further, as Kayabuki Tavern dishes you up traditional Japanese cuisine served by monkeys! According to restaurant owner Kaoru Otsuka, his two pet macaques learned to serve customers by watching him work. Due to food safety regulations, the monkeys are actually only tasked with delivering hand towels and bottled beers, whereas food is served by human staff members, but it’s still quite an experience. The monkeys “work” only between 7pm and 9pm, so don’t miss the chance and make reservations beforehand to catch these adorable primates in action. And don’t worry: They won’t steal your food here!
