Kingfisher
Whilst the brewery behind the brand, United Breweries Group, was founded in 1915 by a Scotsman, Kingfisher is known as the Indian beer, with more than 50 percent market share in the country. The United Breweries company began practising its brewing methods in South India, and the company manufactured bulk beer for the British troops before independence. Kingfisher beer was introduced in the 1960s, and has steadily grown into the flagship brand it is today, enjoying worldwide distribution as the top Indian beer in the international market.
