Wakayama

-

Home to the Edo-period replica of the Wakayama Castle, Wakayama is a Japanese prefecture in the Kansai region. It is famous for offering its pilgrimage route called Kumano Sanzan, connecting three Shinto shrines. The 1,700-year- old Nachi Fire Festival can be caught by tourists in July, where it celebrates the homecoming of the Nachi Waterfall’s god. Adventure- seekers can also take part in diving activities at Kushimoto Diving Park, a great spot year-round to discover the mysteries of the undersea world.
