Eu Yan Sang

-

When Eu Kong Pai left Guangdong, China to settle in Perak, Malaysia, he replaced the opium used by the tin mine labourers to relieve aches with herbal concoctions. These remedies grew in popularity, but Eu Kong died suddenly, leaving his legacy to his 13-year-old son, who, after turning 21, gradually began expanding the traditional medicine business. Today, Eu Yan Sang is popular across Southeast Asia and China, and the company has gone beyond selling traditional remedies and brews by investing in scientific research to validate and develop traditional Chinese medicine products and treatments. Eu Yan Sang also runs more than two dozen TCM clinics in Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
