Sony

In 2001, Sony and Ericsson collaborated to create highly desirable mobile phones. At their peak in 2007, they were the mobiles that everyone wanted, known for their MP3 players, funky designs and advertisements, and quirky colours. Sony Ericsson also produced Playstation-certified devices that had access to mobile versions of the coveted console’s games. In 2012, Sony acquired Ericsson’s share in the venture, and today it manufactures Android smartphones under the well-known Xperia sub-brand.
