Adidas

Behind Nike, Adidas is the world’s second largest sportswear manufacturer, but has established its position as the first in Europe. Created by two brothers making products out of their basement in 1924, it was the only business at the time in Germany that made sports footwear. As such, it has come a long way, with stores and products above and beyond the basement, city, country, region, and continent. Today, Adidas has been associated with not only several popular sports, such as basketball, cricket, and baseball, but also Kabaddi, an Indian sport that has gained a lot of recognition and prominence in the region since the Pro Kabaddi League in 2014. Kabaddi and cricket, both sports with a large fanbase in India, have increased the popularity of the brand, and its representation through celebrity ambassadors.
