Puma
Puma, too, is a German company, and it is the third largest sportswear manufacturer in the world, after Nike and Adidas. It was established when the two brothers – Adolf and Rudolf Dassler – who created Adidas had a falling out. The brands were fierce rivals, and their hometown of Herzogenaurach was divided. The town was referred to as “Town of Bent Necks”, as locals were known to look down in order to see which shoes others had put on. Puma has sponsored several football World Cups and is currently the main producer of driving shoes and race suits, designing products for Formula One and NASCAR. With its large worldwide presence, especially prominent in Asia, we’re spoilt for options!
