Omega
Formerly operating as La Generale Watch Co. under Louis Brandt, the family business was renamed Omega Watch Co. after it was handed to his two sons, LouisPaul and César. The brothers’ achievement in producing the 19-ligne calibre fuelled the change of the company name. By 1903, Omega had become the largest manufacturer of finished watches in Switzerland and had taken on the role of research and development facility. The brand’s first diving watch was introduced in 1932 and named the Marine – it can be taken to a depth of 135 metres!
