Rolex
The use of wristwatches in the early 20th century wasn’t prized as it is now. Under the visionary spirit of Wilsdorf, Rolex was established to revolutionise the use of wristwatches. The name Rolex was brilliantly assembled after experimenting with different combinations of alphabets in every possible way, making it recognisable and easy to utter in any language. One of its outstanding feats is the creation of the world’s first waterproof and dustproof watch, the Oyster, in 1926.
