DID YOU KNOW
Singapore Noodles, surprise surprise, cannot be found anywhere in Singapore! Typically made with rice vermicelli stir-fried with vegetables, eggs, and meat or seafood in a curry powder seasoning, the dish can be found in Catonese restaurants in Hong Kong, but is especially popular in Australia, Canada, America, and the UK as a Chinese cuisine, and even available in their respective supermarkets as ready meals or instant kits. The closest thing to it in Singapore is sin chow bee hoon, which omits the curry powder, and is often seasoned with soy sauce, oyster sauce, ketchup, and sesame oil instead.
