From evidence found in the Bible, humans have tried many ways to prevent a baby boom. Coitus interruptus is a “withdrawal” method introduced in the book of Genesis in the Bible. Ancient drawings depict Egyptian men wearing condoms, apparently made of animal hide, but it’s not clear what the exact material was, or if these condoms were used for sexual purposes.
