The Earth People

The “earth personality” is nurturing, generous, and caring. Earth People tend to be introverted and are tolerant, honest, trustworthy, diligent and steadfast by nature. Earth people often impress others with their contented and peaceful state.

An earth person is realistic, but comes with a touch of pessimism, which makes it hard to persuade them about new opportunities and new ways of viewing things. They can be worrisome and pensive, and want to ensure a positive outcome before they celebrate, lest they jump the gun.

The earth person is instinctive and survival-oriented by nature, and always knows when to be careful. They remain calm and focused in situations of crisis and keep their promises. Earth people find joy in associating with other people, seeking harmony and togetherness, and they insist upon loyalty, security and predictability. They are extremely down to earth and are known to make long-term plans.

A sudden rise of yin in the earth personality may lead to excessive phlegm, which can make them dull and slow to react. Alternatively, a sudden rise of yang can lead to a complete change in character and make them overly optimistic.

Unlike other element types, the earth person has a very natural view of death, and accepts the course of life without feeling the need to change things along the way.
