Great scores posted at com­pe­ti­tions

Ger­ard McCabe won the nine-hole Stable­ford at Tues­day veter­ans game with a score of 21, closely fol­lowed by Bruce Darby with 20.

The third prize went to Alan Dale on a mul­ti­ple count­back from Abe Huisken and Terry Hal­sall, all on 19 points.

The women played their fifth round of sil­ver­spoon, won by Kerry Far­relly with a score of 74.

Di Yates came first in the A-grade of the stroke event also on 74 on a count­back from Kerry Far­relly. The B-grade was won by Libby Daw­son with a great score of 68 points, fol­lowed by Mandy Far­rell who just beat Ta­nia Eas­ton on a count­back (73).

Libby Daw­son also was the cham­pion put­ter of the day.

Val Meleri scored best for the nine-hole com­pe­ti­tion.

Ge­off Harve­son scored top man at Thurs­day’s Bare Rooted Wines scroungers event with a score of 38.

Graeme Smith just got the bet­ter of Bob Wil­liams, both scor­ing 36 points.

Bar­bara Web­ster scored best again at the mixed nine-hole com­pe­ti­tion on Friday with 18 points. Di Yates and Val Meleri came sec­ond and third. Rob Hearn was best man, win­ning over new mem­ber Marc Dick­son.

The Leeuwin Es­tate 7th Monthly Mug on Satur­day was won by cap­tain Ian Chidgey with a score of 69.

Nick Lieben­berg was a close sec­ond (70), and Dean Tay­lor third with one point more.

The Book­ers spon­sored in Pi­lates-style for their mixed Stable­ford. Rosie Bur­net played best woman of the day (35), while part­ner Bruce Darby (37) got the best man ti­tle. Roy War­ren came third with 35 points.
