Charge ad­journed for res­i­dent

Mar­garet River man Antony Charles Hardy ap­peared in Stir­ling Gar­dens Mag­is­trate’s Court on Wed­nes­day, with his charge of mur­der ad­journed to a men­tion date on March 28.

The up­graded charge fol­lows an in­ci­dent in Mar­garet River on Jan­uary 30 dur­ing which res­i­dent David Graces died.

On Wed­nes­day, Mr Hardy was with­out his lawyer.

Mag­is­trate Jan Whit­bread said she was happy to talk to Mr Hardy di­rectly and ex­plained the pro­ce­dures around doc­u­ments re­lated to the mur­der charge.

The mag­is­trate said she would ask some­one to tell his lawyer to call him as soon as pos­si­ble.
