Pets and their proud young owners were out in force at the 89th Margaret River Agricultural Show last Friday for the sixth annual Margaret River Children’s Pet Show, hosted by Cape Creatures Veterinary Hospital.

Much time was put into sprucing up the pets and organisers said there was a lot of excitement surrounding the event.

“The children’s faces as they received their prizes was so lovely to watch,” a team member said. “Of course, we didn’t want anyone to go home home empty handed, so we had plenty of sweets and consolation prizes for the children and even doggie treats for our four-legged friends.”

Proceeds from the $1 entry fee went to FAWNA to help care for native wildlife.

Ava Murphy, 9, with Milo, who won best rescue and came second in the waggiest rear-end category.
