Gresham show a ‘travelogue’
Matt Gresham’s debut album tour will continue into the new year, with the singersongwriter’s first show for 2019 kicking off at Settlers Tavern on January 4.
Drawing on experiences travelling — sometimes for months at a time — throughout the US, Asia and Europe, Gresham released his debut album, Who Am I Now, earlier last year.
During his travels, he lived, worked and filmed music videos.
He also opened for highprofile acts such as Muse, James Arthur and Guy Sebastian.
Gresham said the “musical travelogue” was full of self-reflection and insightful songs. “I have experienced orchestral music in Europe, electro in Berlin, hip-hop music in New York,” he said.
“Hop, soul and electronica are just as obvious as samples from stations or sound scraps of conversations with friends.”
Gresham will perform at Settlers Tavern from 9pm, with tickets costing $20.
