Taking skills to a new level
TABMA TRAINING is delighted to advise that the Parkside Group has committed to upskilling a number of its workers through Certificate 3 qualifications funded by the Queensland State Government Department of Education and Training (DET).
The Parkside Group is a large Queensland based multifaceted and diverse company. Privately owned, Parkside is a leading player in saw milling, timber manufacturing, land and property development, home construction and retirement industries with operations from Cairns to Sydney with a client base across Australia and Asia now employing hundreds of Australians.
Over the next 6-9 months, 16 staff will undertake qualifications in saw milling and processing, timber merchandising and leadership and management.
This is a significant commitment by the Parkside Group who recognise the value of upskilling their staff leading to greater efficiencies, increased job satisfaction and staff retention.
It is intended that more staff will participate each year once the initial programs have been completed.
TABMA Queensland encourages all TABMA members to take advantage of the available Queensland Government funding to upskill their staff into nationally recognised qualifications.
