Fujifilm GFX 50S
BEST MEDIUM FORMAT CAMERA
“The GFX 50S’s mirrorless configuration enables the
performance advantages of a medium format sized sensor to be combined with a comparatively compact and lightweight camera. The GFX 50S has a 32.9x43.8 mm CMOS sensor – with an effective pixel count of 51.4 million – but the camera body is no bigger than that of a full-35mm D-SLR. There’s the option for working with an even more compact camera if the detachable 3.69 megadots EVF is removed. The 8.1 cm monitor screen can be tilted in both the horizontal and vertical planes, the camera’s magnesium alloy body is full weather-proofed. A newly-developed focal plane shutter has a top shutter speed of 1/4000 second, but up to 1/16,000 second is available with the sensor-based shutter. Other notable features are a 425-point AF system, continuous shooting at 3.0 fps, and Fujifilm’s ‘Film Simulation’ presets including ACROS B&W.”
