Food For Celebration – a category of Pink Lady Food Photographer of the Year – seeks images of celebratory food from around the world; people eating it, people preparing it, people dancing around it… however it may appear.

Party-goers drinking champagne, canapés piled high, granny tucking into sherry trifle – so many opportunities for that winning photo.

The food photo fairytale can happen, Shoeb Faruquee from Bangladesh, triumphed in the Food For Celebration category in the 2017 competition with his shot entitled Food For God, and then went on to win the overall title of Pink Lady Food Photographer Of The Year, receiving the top prize of £5000 and global recognition.

Pink Lady Food Photographer Of The Year is the world’s leading celebration of food photography and film-making. The judges – chaired by photographer David Loftus – include Ferran Adria, Jenna Close, Alison Morley, H.E. Ali Bin Thalith, Tamara Beckwith and Paul Burrows, and many other stars of the food and photography world. The winners’ exhibition is held at the world famous Mall Galleries, London in late April 2018.
