GRAHAM RYAN, MATCH- GOING SUPPORTER SINCE 1984

Australian Four Four Two - - PREMIER LEAGUE -

This season will be different to last because

we’re not in the Champions League. And we’re not going to win the league, as we did when that happened in 2016-17.

The opposition player I secretly admire is

Mo Salah, as humble as he is talented. What a shame we didn’t keep hold of him.

Our pantomime villain is

Jose Mourinho. He’ll pick fights with everyone again when he realises he’s not going to win the league.

Keep an eye out for

Ethan Ampadu. It’s hard to believe he’s still only 17. If he impresses in the League Cup, he may get chances in bigger games.

The player I’d happily drive to another club is

either Ross Barkley or Danny Drinkwater. They’re 7/10 players, but I’d rather see a young midfielder given a chance, such as Ampadu or Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Our most underrated player is

Olivier Giroud – big season for him.

This season we will finish

3rd. A return to the Champions League and some domestic cup success are realistic targets.

FFT asks: Were you disappointed to hear that Chelsea’s stadium redevelopment plans have been put on hold?

As much as I’d happily stay at the current Stamford Bridge forever, it was disappointing news. Looking at the long term, the club really needs those extra seats in order to become self-sufficient.
