Red-necked wal­la­bies

I cap­tured this im­age af­ter sev­eral days of heavy rain. The mother and joey were part of a mob of 7–9 wal­la­bies. They were very skit­tish and at­tuned to noise in their vicin­ity – which may be how they’ve sur­vived so well de­spite the cross-bred dogs in the area.
