Pho­tog­ra­pher and he­li­copter mus­ter­ing pi­lot Scott Bri­dle cap­tured this un­usual el­e­vated per­spec­tive of the Dar­ling Downs, west of Toowoomba, Queens­land.The area is renowned as some of Aus­tralia’s best farm­ing land, with rich, deep, fer­tile black soil. This pho­to­graph was taken early one morn­ing when the air was crisp with low-float­ing clouds, which were a foil to the in­trigu­ing and pre­cise ‘stripes’ pro­duced by the farm­ing meth­ods used be­low. Scott be­came a chop­per pi­lot at the age of 32 and moved to north­ern Queens­land to be­gin mus­ter­ing over coun­try where he’d worked as a ringer, trans­fer­ring his ex­pe­ri­ence on the ground to the air. It was at this time that Scott be­gan tak­ing aerial pho­to­graphs, pro­duc­ing rare per­spec­tives of Aus­tralian land­scapes.
