IT’S OF­TEN SAID that Ho­bart is home to more Antarc­tic sci­en­tists than any­where else in the world, and with sev­eral im­por­tant Antarc­tic or­gan­i­sa­tions based here, it’s not hard to see why.This fes­ti­val of­fers four days of fas­ci­nat­ing Antarc­tic ex­pe­ri­ences, such as tours on board re­search ships Aurora Aus­tralis and In­ves­ti­ga­tor, real-life ac­counts of what it’s like to live and work in Antarc­tica, as well as a film fes­ti­val and pho­to­graphic com­pe­ti­tion.
