On the cover

This glowing shot of a White’s seahorse ( Hippocampus whitei) catching some rays under the boardwalk in Mosman, Sydney Harbour, won the Animal Habitat category in the 2018 Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year competition. Photographer Matty Smith also won the Portfolio award for his delightful underwater shots of marine life.
