AFTER A ROGUE wave broke his neck in 2014 during a morning swim, Steve Plain decided from his hospital bed to complete the Seven Summits. He climbed the highest peak on each continent, including Everest, in just four months earlier this year. What an amazing feat, given it was once uncertain if he’d ever walk again. He raised funds for Surf Lifesaving WA and SpinalCure Australia on the way.
