EXPLORE AUSTRALIA’S SHOREBIRD CAPITAL, BROOME BIRD OBSERVATORY
What better place to celebrate National Bird Week
(22–28 October) than the remarkable twitching haven that is the Broome Bird Observatory. It’s 11km east of Broome on the shores of Roebuck Bay, and it’s one of Australia’s top birding hotspots – more than 150,000 birds, many migratory, representing more than 300 species, pass through here each year.
