MOUNTAINS OF PLASTIC

-

The article Toxic tides (AG 146) reminded me of others I have read online. In some Asian towns the rivers are so clogged with mountains of plastic that the locals use bulldozers to push it all further downstream.Yes, we have recycling centres and rubbish collection in Australia, but we are contributing to the pollution in Asia and the oceans because we want them to make all those cheap plastic products for us in their sweat shops.
