1991 New route on the east face of Torre del Paine Central, Patagonia, Chile.

1994 First ascent of ‘Adrift’, El Capitan, Yosemite, California, USA.

1994 First Ascent of the West Face of Mount Asgard, Baffin Island,

Arctic Canada.

1995 Slovenian route, Trango Tower, Karakorum, Pakistan.

1998 Brain injury on the Totem Pole (not an adventure achievemen­t but the fact that I survived is pretty remarkable).

2001 Moved permanentl­y to Tasmania from Lancashire in the UK.

2005 Mt Kilimanjar­o, Tanzania, by the Breach Wall (seven years to recover enough to climb this).

2009 Arco, Italy. First lead climb since my accident.

2011 ‘Trikes on the Roof of the World’ expedition across the Himalaya to Mt Everest Base Camp

(Tibetan side).

2016 Return to the Totem Pole.

2017 World Expedition­s’ Lowest to Highest - Australia: a human-powered journey between the continent’s extremes of altitude.

2018 First new climb for 21 years, called 1-AU on the Alum Cliffs, Tasmania.
