On assignment with DON FUCHS AND THE SONY RX10 IV
TO GET THE IMAGES I envision, and my editor expects, while on assignment for Australian Geographic, I need top-of-the-range gear. The comparatively lightweight
Sony RX10 IV earns its place in my kit bag for those times when I need a super-versatile, ready-to-go camera.
It’s packed with powerful functions: fast and accurate autofocus, a decent sensor and 4K video. It comes equipped with a beautiful Zeiss lens and I find it the perfect tool for that quick, candid shot or in a fast-moving situation. Its state-ofthe-art autofocus tracking keeps everything nice and sharp – great for wildlife, and it’s superb for photographing people, too. I prefer to shoot in raw format and this camera gives me professional quality files every time.
In this era of instant sharing, the in-built wi-fi function allows me to send images straight to my smartphone – perfect for Instagramming and Facebook on the go.
