TO EM­U­LATE what a hu­man can achieve be­hind the wheel re­quires a whole lot of very ex­pen­sive tech­nol­ogy. Not only must the in­for­ma­tion be re­ceived, it must be sorted and iden­ti­fied as well. The hu­man brain isn’t re­dun­dant just yet.

1Front cam­eraCam­eras in­stalled be­hind the wind­screen de­ter­mine the po­si­tion of other road users and recog­nise whether the user in ques­tion is a car, truck, mo­tor­cy­cle or pedes­trian. The cam­era de­tects road mark­ings, too, en­abling it to pro­vide ex­act in­for­ma­tion on the ve­hi­cle’s po­si­tion within its own lane.
