Most water storage levels around the country are up compared with this time last year.

HAVE YOU BEEN shaking the cobwebs out of your umbrellas in recent months? For much of the country, La Niña has brought much-needed rain and lots of it. After years of dry weather, it’s a mixed blessing for some, with a few areas inundated, leading to floods. In some parts, drought conditions continue unabated. As this graph shows, the southern mainland states have seen the most significan­t increases in water storage levels.
