WHAT A DIFFERENCE A COLOUR MAKES!

Yamaha have an illustrious history of manufacturing superlative audio equipment, dating back to the late 1970s. In some ways it is unfortunate that their (very good) commercially focused products often steal the limelight.

A couple of years ago Yamaha launched a range of very high quality amplifiers and CD players competing with some of the most prestigious manufacturers on the market. I must admit to being a little sceptical when they announced they were going to release an integrated amplifier at twice the price of a basic Krell. My concerns were ill-founded!

All models are available in both silver and black facia, but Yamaha took the unusual approach of offering a range of timber side panels in different finishes. As it transpires some of these finishes have proven to be more popular than others, and as a result we have been able to negotiate a very attractive price on the less popular colours.

It is difficult to convey the craftsmanship that has gone into these products. This is truly a beautifully constructed range; the type of product that instils pride of ownership; the one you’ll be likely to own for a very long time.
