AUDIONET SCIENTIST SERIES

-

German company Audionet has released a new range called the ‘Scientist Series’ because each model in the range is named after a famous scientist. The range comprises the ‘Watt’ integrated amplifier, ‘Planck’ CD Player & DAC, ‘Ampere’ power supply and ‘Heisenberg’ Mono Amplifiers, respectively named after Scottish engineer James Watt whose surname is now the SI unit of power, Max Planck, the German theoretical physicist whose work on quantum theory won him the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1918, André-Marie Ampère, French mathematician and physicist, considered the father of electrodynamics whose surname is the SI unit of current, and Werner Karl Heisenberg, the German theoretical physicist and one of the key pioneers of quantum mechanics. The range also includes the ‘Stern’ preamplifier, which is named after the not-so-well-known German physicist and Nobel laureate Otto Stern. In Australia, Audionet’s products are distributed by Pure Music Group, which was recently appointed the exclusive Australian distributor. ‘ Audionet was created by scientists working at the Bochum University in Germany whose primary goal was to apply cutting-edge technology

to make the music breathe, and to capture the dynamic expression of live music,’ said Warwick Freemantle,

of Pure Music Group. ‘ They were not interested in science for its own sake, but for how it could be used in the service of music. All the company’s products represent an assault on the state of the art in their relevant product category and use innovative solutions to achieve their goal of reproducing living and breathing music.’ Audionet recently moved its factory from Bochum to Berlin and even more-recently (earlier this year) was awarded a prize for ‘Best German Brand’. ‘ Audionet’s products have been favourably reviewed in magazines in Europe and USA and offer exceptional value for money in high-end terms,’ Freemantle told Australian Hi-Fi Magazine. ‘ They are amongst the few products available that combine technical excellence with musicality and uncompromising build quality.’ For further information, please contact Pure Music Group on (04) 0950 4805 or visit the website at www.puremusicgroup.com
