Every once in a while a product range comes along which takes us by surprise – and the cable brand Inakustik is such a product.

There are a number of things that set this range apart. Firstly the product is extremely well manufactured, and it is exceptionally competitive, yet the vast majority of the range is manufactured in Germany. Most importantly the performance is everything that you would expect from a product of this calibre — and beyond.

The range is extremely comprehensive, with speaker cables selling for $7.00/mtr through to the top-of-the-range Reference LS-1603 which sells for $2,999 for a 3mtr pair. The concept of packaging 3mtr speaker cable pairs is something that Inakustik actively promotes, with four Reference models on the market ranging from $995/ pair through to the LS-1603.

The same diversity applies to interconnects, with RCA cables from $59 to $1,000, and a range of HDMI cables starting at $19 each through to $250. However it is their XLR cables that offer some of the best value. Although hardware manufacturers are finally waking up to the value of using XLR connections, there are not a lot of cable manufacturers following suit.
