B&O BEOPLAY H4

-

Danish manufacturer B&O puts design above all else, and that’s very evident with its H4 headphones, which it says: ‘ have been designed to define a new standard for people who value iconic simplicity.’ The design of the B&O Beoplay H4 headphones is the work of famous Scandinavian designer Jakob Wagner, who has used lambskin, braided textile and aluminium in their construction. Lambskin is used for the ear cushions as well as the headband. The inside of the ear cushion is made of memory foam that adapts to the shapes and curves of the ear. The cord connecting the headphones is encased in braided textile that has been made partially visible between the slider and the headband as a design touch. ‘ Their minimalist design expression is an unmistakable link to the B&O Play design heritage and comes with the renowned Bang & Olufsen signature sound,’ says Jens Jermiin of B&O.

The Beoplay H4 comes with a three-button controller to enable users to answer and end ‘phone calls (when the H4 is being used in conjunction with a compatible mobile phone), as well as play, pause and skip music tracks, and adjust volume. The headphones can be paired via Bluetooth but also come with a 3.5mm analogue jack for wired operation. B&O says that when being operated wirelessly, the H4s will operate for 19 hours, after which it takes only 2.5-hours to recharge them fully. You can adjust the sound quality of the headphones by loading the Beoplay App into an Android or iPhone or Apple Watch. This gives you access to pre-programmed sound profiles (including Commute, Clear, Workout and Podcast) as well as profiles you have programmed yourself. Available now, the Beoplay H4 retails for $399 in Charcoal Grey. For more information, contact B&O Australia on 1800 818 238 or visit www.bang-olufsen.com.
